Elena E. Rangel

Elena E. Rangel 91 was called by Our Lord, September 24, 2013. She went peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones at her side. Our mom was born August 18, 1922 to Juanita and Agustin Esparza. Our mother went to reunite with our father her husband David Rangel Sr. who was called by our Lord November 9, 1991.

They will celebrate their 75th year of marriage. They were married September 12, 1938 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Our mom was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She loved sewing, cooking, gardening and praying for her family and friends.

Our mother is preceded in death by her husband David Rangel Sr.; one son, Israel (Ray) E. Rangel; two brothers, Timoteo Esparza and Agustin Esparza; two sisters, Elvira Rodriguez and Elodia Escobedo.

Our mother leaves behind to cherish her memories three sons, Adan E. (Frances) Rangel, of San Antonio, Texas, Gilbert E. (Rosie) Rangel and David E. (Senaida) Rangel of Corpus Christi, Texas; three daughters, Lucita R. (Eugenio) Villarreal, Ruth R. (Oscar) Uribe and Lidia R. (Juan) Lopez; one sister, Olga E. (Salvador) Zambrano; one brother, Daniel Esparza of Rosenberg, Texas, 26 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly. Chapel service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2013 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly chapel. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
