Deborah Ann Dansby

Deborah Ann Kitchen Dansby of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at the age of 65. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, James Clifford and Ceatrice Oleen Kitchen, older brother, James Clifford Kitchen, Jr., and sister, Daisy Chase.

Deborah was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on October 9, 1956. She attended public school in Corpus Christi, Texas and graduated from Foy H. Moody High School in 1975. She received her associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology from Del Mar College in 1977.

She began her professional career in Corpus Christi, Texas at Memorial Medical Center in the radiology department. Throughout her career, she worked at “The Genetics Center” under Dr. Raymond C. Lewandowski, MD, Spohn South, Bay Area Medical Center, and was an instructor for the Ultrasound Program at Del Mar College. She also served in numerous organizations and was a Board Member of the Corpus Christi Ballet for many years.

Deborah was a loving friend and mentor to many who often sought her advice concerning personal as well as work related issues. She maintained a positive attitude and approached problems with confidence. She was interested in people and supported their pursuits.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 45 years, Bruce Dansby Jr., loving daughters Kendra Dansby, LaTonya Dansby, and grandsons Garion Dansby, Jayden Dansby, and Kyree Murphy. Her brother, Leon Kitchen (Vickie), Brother-In-Law’s, Donnell Dansby (Karen), Adrian Dansby, and Sister-In-Law, Sean Kitchen (late James Kitchen, Jr.), and 13 nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Deborah will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Calvary First Baptist Church, 2906 Carver Dr., Corpus Christi, Texas 78405. A celebration of life will occur Friday, August 19, 2022 at 12:00 PM, 2906 Carver Dr., Corpus Christi, Texas 78405. A burial will occur Friday, August 19, 2022 at 3:15 PM at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415.
