Clara V. Cantú, age 58, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away June 5, 2021. She was born in Harlingen, Texas on January 22, 1964. Clara graduated from Foy H. Moody High School and went on to receive an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development from Del Mar College. Clara was a loving wife of 38 years to her husband Arturo Rodriguez and loving mother to her two daughters Laura and Kristy Rodriguez. She had a kind heart and nurturing soul with a passion for movies, picnics at the park, long walks, and spending time with her family. Clara lived for her family and never missed an opportunity to show her love for them with little gestures every day and grand gestures when the occasion called for celebration. She was the life of the party who loved to laugh, joke, and dance.
Most of all Clara had a love for children and was better known as Ms. Cantú. She was a Head Start Teacher for over 20 years. She dedicated her life to teaching both in the classroom and within her family, shaping the lives of hundreds of children throughout the years.
Clara, the wife, the mother, the teacher, and the friend will be missed but never forgotten. Her legacy continues with every life she touched, every person she showed compassion, love, and joy towards. Clara was an angel on earth and has earned her wings in heaven. There is no doubt that she has been received with open arms.

Family will be receiving friends on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home at 12:30 pm. A Holy Rosary will begin at 1:30 pm. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm with Interment to follow at 3:00 pm at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
