Betty Jo Smith

Betty was employed by several oil and gas companies in her lifetime. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother. Betty enjoyed spending time with family, square dancing, and reading. Betty will always be remembered for her devotion to family, her quick wit, sense of humor and her infectious laughter. She was warm and friendly to people she met and consequently made friends easily. Betty was a dependable worker, and she really enjoyed her career.

Betty Jo is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Celia Newby; son Jefferey Hahn; daughter Sherry Hahn; siblings: Barbara Oates, Hugh Quenten Cook, Woodrow Cook, Jr., and Deanna Kennedy.

She is survived by her granddaughter Sara Jo Hahn; numerous nieces and nephews.

Services are entrusted to Funeraria Del Angel-Everhart, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78411.

A special thanks with love and gratitude to the staff at Amazing Grace Respite Care and New Century Hospice. Also, a special thank you to the providers Tina Reyes, Sylvia Guajardo, and Marie Jones who assisted Betty to live independently before Respite Care.
