Betty Elizabeth Medrano

Elizabeth was a successful property manager for over 20+ years, serving her community with devotion and kindness. She offered more than just assistance in living but a friend who would pray for you from the moment she met you. She volunteered as a coordinator with the local chapter of March for Jesus; a procession of praise throughout the city streets and around the world, for many years. As a faithful servant, she became a part of the worship flag dancers at her church; a form of non-verbal communication that conveys direction, identity, and much more through dances of worship, always demonstrating her faith to many. She brought joy and light to every room she walked in.

In April of this year, our mother was diagnosed with ALS, and although the thought of something with such a big name and still lacking understanding in the medical minds of this world, would create fear in most, our mother bravely faced it with joy in her heart, praising God through EVERY tribulation. She accepted what was ahead and pressed forward in faith.

We watched our mother handle one of the hardest trials of her life with grace, honoring her lord and savior with each moment she was given. Showing us all how to handle the great unknown and who to turn to.

Betty Elizabeth Medrano is survived by her siblings Yolanda Ramirez, Josie Ramirez, Mary Medrano, Raul Medrano, and Daniel Medrano, and three children; Shelby Perez (Ruben Perez), David Ramirez and Bethany Baird (Ryan Getman), her 13 grandchildren, (Shelby) Angel Borunda III, Lanina Perez, Kirsten Perez and Ruben Perez Jr., (David) Dylan Ramirez, Ethan Ramirez, Sage Ramirez, Faith Ramirez and David Ramirez, (Bethany) Isaiah Ramirez, Markus Sousa, Addison Baird and Isabella Sauve, as well as, 4 great-grandchildren, Xzavian Borunda (Angel), Ellayna Borunda (Angel), Arthur Gutierrez III (Lanina), Renesmee Gutierrez (Lanina).

Visitation will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, where a Holy Rosary will be recited that same evening at 7:00 PM. Funeral Service will begin at 9:00 AM on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a Rite of Committal and Interment to follow at 10:00 AM at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
