Alberto C. Hernandez

Alberto C. Hernandez, 94, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. He was born in Corpus Christi on September 26, 1928. He graduated and received a P.H.D. from the School of Hard Knocks. He was married to Rosalinda R. Hernandez for 67 years.

Alberto worked as a machinist, ranch hand and woodworker for Chapman Ranch, Vaughter Door Company, Hawn Sash & Door and Horton Automatics. He loved hunting, fishing and vacationing on the Frio River with his family at his River lot.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Esiquio and Juanita Hernandez and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Rosalinda R. Hernandez; son, Pedro Alberto (LeeAnn) Hernandez and three daughters, Sandra (Ignacio) Chapa, Margie Hernandez and Julie Canales. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and one sister, Dora Armijo.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM with Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
