Big Al was born September 11, 1958 to Gilberto and Hermila Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, Texas.
His crowning achievement in life was always placing family first and the ability to befriend any stranger. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and golfer.
He is preceded in death by his father Gilberto Rodriguez and sister Evelyna (Mauricio) Jimenez of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Alan leaves behind his family to cherish his memories, wife of 30 years, Leticia Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, Texas; sons, Dr. Alan (Angela) Rodriguez of Bryan, Texas, Michael Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, Texas; mother, Hermila Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, Texas; brothers, Gilbert (Olga) Rodriguez and Robert (Irma) Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters, Nelda (Oscar) Cortez of Spring, Texas and Dr. Ida (Ron) Reed of Harlingen, Texas; father and mother -in- law, Regino and Lydia Molina of San Diego, Texas; brother- in- law’s, Regino Molina, Jr. and Manuel (Dolly) Molina both of San Diego, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 01, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Visitation will follow Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2011 with an entombment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Robert Rodriguez, Gilbert Rodriguez, Manuel Molina, Jesus Prezas, Jr., Rey Guerra, Regino Molina, Ron Reed and Regino Molina, Jr.
