She was born in San Benito, TX on June 26, 1950.
Lee Graduated from Los Fresnos High School and moved to Corpus Christi, TX to attend Del Mar College in 1970. She was married to Ruben Martinez on October 4, 1972.
Lee’s superb talents and passion was focused in baking, cake decorating, designing beautiful flower arraignments and creating amazing arts and crafts, wall decorations, assembling jewelry and rosaries, and most recent event planning.
Lee’s life devotion was serving our Lord Jesus Christ. As a Catholic she enjoyed studying the bible and learning its history. She was an active church member and participated in several organizations within her church community. To name a few, she participated in the Men and Women’s Club, Divine Mercy Group, The Guadalupanas Group, Choir Group and in 2009, she moved to San Antonio, TX where she continued her service in St. Rose de Lima and Christ the King Catholic Church where she was an active member of the Senior Club and participated in the church activities like the distribution of food from the Church’s food pantry and was often involved in prayer groups until the very end. Our beloved sister will be missed by all that new her.
Adele “Lee” Martinez is preceded in death by her husband Ruben Martinez, twin sons, Ruben Lucas Martinez and Rene Lee Martinez, and parents Nasario and Aurora Soto.
She is survived by her three step children: Gracie (Ernest) Ramos, Robert (Sandra) Martinez and Ricky (Alicia) Martinez; Her six siblings: Pete (Lupita) Soto, Tina Garza, Elena (Willie) Cruz, Sue Soto, Rocky (Irene) Soto and her youngest sister, whom was considered her daughter, Dolly (Ruben) Garcia; 12 Grandchildren, 10 Great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Cruz, Korbin Cruz, Chuck Garcia, George Aguilar, Christopher Cruz, Jesse Quintana, Roman Martinez and David Martinez. Honorary Pallbearers: Pete Soto, Willie Cruz, Rocky Soto and Ruben Garcia.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019 with Deacon Botello officiating from Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, located at 540 Hiawatha Street, Corpus Christi, TX 78405.
Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
