Peter Clinco, a respected and deeply loved figure in his circle, passed away recently. Born on July 16, 1952, Peter's life was marked by passionate commitment to both his family, enjoyment with friends, and the pursuit of knowledge.
He was the beloved husband of Miranda Barone, whom he married in the happy year of 1981. Their union was blessed with two devoted sons, Matthew and David Clinco, who honored their father in everything they did. His family circle was further extended by the addition of his adored daughter-in-law, Natalie Clinco, and cherished granddaughter, Malia Clinco, and grandson Travis Clinco, who added immense joy to his life.
Peter was predeceased by his father, the Honorable Mario Clinco, and mother Elizabeth Clinco of Beverly Hills, whose memory he held dear. He is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren, who are left to treasure his memory and continue his legacy of love and dedication.
Peter's pursuit of knowledge saw him graduate from the University of Southern California in 1974 and later, in 1977, from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. The education he received became an integral part of his personality and informed much of his worldview. He began the practice of law in a Beverly Hills firm with many celebrity clients. Peter, however, treated all his clients like stars. In addition to the practice of law, Peter opened a restaurant, Skylight Gardens, in Westwood Village, West Los Angeles. It quickly became a favorite dining location.
Peter raised his family in San Marino, California where he resided for 30 years. Recently Peter and his wife retired in Laguna Beach, California. A move he called the capstone of his life.
He was a loyal supporter of the USC Trojans, the enthusiasm of which was matched by his love for Italy, one of his favorite vacation spots, where he and his family celebrated their heritage. However, it was his family that remained his most cherished cause, and he committed his efforts to providing them with a warm and loving environment.
As we remember Peter, we reflect upon a life lived with purpose and passion - a man who loved deeply and was deeply loved. He will continue to live on in the memories of those who knew him and will remain forever in our hearts.
A Cryptside Service will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2023, 2:00 pm, at Pacific View Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Dr., Corona del Mar, CA. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow.
