Words cannot  express our grief and sadness our family feels for your loss.  Our memories of Chasen began on the night of UCSB graduation.   That was when we me met Chase and all of Paul’s new friends!  We loved his friends, but, Chase was special and when Paul and Chase were together they lit up the room with their smiles.  He was always appreciative,  kind, and a true gentleman.  He was the friend you want for your son.   We will cherish his visits to our home  and sharing our vacation at Majorca. I met Chase in the dorms early our freshman year. Over the years we had many of the same classes, being in the same major together and every time without fail I was with him, it ended up being happy and positive times. 

Being in the neighboring fraternity, we had built a mutual friendship and respect over many years. Moving to LA after college, me and Chase got closer, since our friend groups hadn’t moved to LA yet. 

My favorite memory was Coachella 2019, I was wandering by myself and ran into him and Jake Howard. I hear his voice from 30 feet away “no way is that George?!” We spend the next couple hours laughing hysterically together. He was one of a kind and his legacy will forever live on. I remember Chase. He was so sweet. I  remember  chatting wirh him  at work trying to convince him to  take his CFP  test and he did. I always tried to give him food I would not eat  or said try this new thing from trader Joes.  I know heaven got a new angel. To the family,   I am so sorry. But you must  be so very proud of him -he was an amazing young man.! My deepest condolences. I know i will think of him often. He was an amazing example of a kind  human being. Fondly, Liliana

I remember playing with Chase and my little brother Wyatt a long ago at my Grandma Julia's house. It was the only time I really had gotten to spend some real time with Chase as a kid. I am extremely thankful for those few days. 

Despite growing up in different states, I know that Chase had a huge impact on the people in his life. He was a great big brother, son, and grandson. He had light in his eyes and spread love everywhere he went with his powerful smile! 

Words cannot begin to express the sadness that I feel hearing about the loss of my dear colleague.  What a wonderful and caring young man!  I remember the last conversation the we had on Thursday in the break room,  about your favorite snack being completely out of the vending machine.  I promised you that I would make sure that they fill up a couple of the areas with your snack so it doesn't run out again.  Well, I am going to keep my promise and buy of few of them too!

Chase, may your light shine bright like your personality did at work.  You may be gone for now, but you will never be forgotten!

May your kind spirit live on eternally in Heaven.

Growing up with Chase, I appreciated sharing holidays and special occasions together. Flying planes and shooting off rockets on Christmas morning was a tradition we’ve had for as long as I could possibly remember. Although it always ended with disappointment of the rockets getting lost or blowing up, we always had the best time. Chase was a great friend to everyone, and i’ll cherish the moments we had together forever.

Love you Chase. Christmas Morning will never be the same 

So so sorry for your loss. Chasen was a great kid and full of energy during my PE classes at Vista Verde.  Truly sadden by the news and want to send my prayers and condolences during these hard times. I’ll keep you guys in my prayers.

Chasen and my son Chasen were very close friends since elementary school. 

With the same name, 
born at the same hospital,

just days apart,  
they were like soul brothers.

Chasen was always so sweet and just a great guy and they had so much fun together golfing with his dad Mike.

I know my Chasen will miss him for the rest of his life.

I’m glad they went to La Paz a few years ago and kept in touch and saw each other regularly.

I knew Chase when he was a little dude, around pre-school, kindergarten; he & my son, Chris, were best buds. Once I had the boys for a soccer practice at a grassy area in Big Canyon when they decided to go exploring afterwards. Suddenly Chase came running, he had walked into a hornets nest & got bit all over. He was very brave but I had to call Mama bear to come save the day. Chase was adventurous even back then. Thru social media I’ve had the privilege of watching him  grow into a phenomenal young man; his many accomplishments as well as antics, he was the whole package. His beautiful face & smile etched in my mind. Cruz & Aiden have big shoes to fill but I have no doubt they will fill them in their own unique way with the help of their fabulous Mama & their big bro watching over & guiding. We share your pain at the loss of your son and brother. Sadly, we lost our son Noah to a cliff fall in Isla Vista in June 2009, just a week before his graduation. To know another promising young life has been lost — the sixth since Noah died — is heartbreaking. I remember when Chase started as an intern at JP Morgan in SB and subsequently moved to the Century City office as an investment professional.  He was always very easy going, fun and a pleasure to be around. I remember when he played for the JP Morgan softball team. He had amazing outfield catches!! He will be greatly missed by his JP Morgan work family.

I became friends with Chase during freshman year of high school. He had such a warm and kind personality, always lit up the room. During our senior year, we became close in physics class. He made one of the toughest classes so much fun. He somehow always got stuck with me and Christina for labs. We were so lucky to be partnered with him. He always knew how to make us laugh and we were always guaranteed an A with him. You will be so missed Chase. Thank you for all the smiles over the years. May you rest in peace.

Chase’s football locker was right next to mine. I was kind of the jokester on the team and I loved making Chase laugh. I could always see him trying to hold back laughter and that’s when I knew I had done my job. His smile could light up a room and he will be greatly missed. Love you man. -Brad

How do we qualify a life lived? It usually has to do with certain milestones that people value. A lot of people think the amount of time on this earth can really quantify a life lived. Others use material value to measure what is seen as a successful life. I personally like to use a metric that can be a lot harder to measure but nonetheless equally as valuable. How many lives did this person touch? From  the outpouring of grief, the smiles generated from fond memories, and the tears shed from the heartbreak of such a premature end, it is clear that Chase lived life to the fullest. The pain of such a loss will never quite leave us, but the resolute bond that we all have from the spirit and ethos that Chase left behind will persevere. So we do not bid you farewell dear friend for we will see you in our dreams.

I am so very sorry about the passing of Chase. I work with him at J.P. Morgan, we weren't teammates and we weren't very close but I we chatted from time-to-time and as we saw each other in the hallways. He was always smiling and happy. He will be missed by everyone in the JPM Century City Office.

Chase worked on our Team at JP Morgan while he was a student at UCSB. We are shocked and saddened by this loss. He is very much in our prayers.

we will always love our biggest brother  Chasen . he is our hero . he was our rock . he was the glue . best brother ever 

We did so many crazy things together and always had so much fun. My fondest memories are with Heather driving us around and we were always singing along to either Kid Rock or Madonna because that is what she would always play. 

I spent every day with Heather and Chase when we were neighbors. They were my second family and Chase was the little brother I never had.  To me, he will always be the little brother.   Love you forever Chase.

You were the best roommate anyone could have asked for in college. You helped get me to the library when I did not want to study, get me to the gym when I was tired, and get me to socialize when I was anxious.

I owe a lot of who I have become as a person to watching the way you lived your life and treated those around you. Thanks so much for everything, I will miss you always.

I got to know Chase our Senior year of high school when I sat next to him and Mica in Physics class. Chase always had a smile on his face and had an infectious energy about him. He did well in physics and liked doing the labs for our group. The three of us had a lot of fun chatting and joking around in class. Chase was funny, friendly, kind, and well liked. He left a positive impact on those around him and will be missed. Rest in peace, Chase.

Chase and I became close during our Junior year of high school. We thought we were the "cool" kids in Mr. Smay's Honor's Chemistry class (we probably were). I think we all did pretty well despite the constant joking around, a lot of it led by Chase. Chase was such a light–happy, smart, funny, and a great friend. I treasure the memories of attempting the scientific method and going to lunch at Pei Wei after class. Rest in peace Chase!

Chase always made me laugh when we sat next to each other in chemistry in high school. We had such a wonderful friendship- we had this group of 5 and we decided that we were our teacher’s favorites. Even though we were always joking around in class,  Chase always pulled through with strong grades on our tests (which were admittedly quite difficult, harder than college chemistry). He was really intelligent and humble about it too. Gosh, he will be sorely missed. This is a tragic loss. I will carry his memory fondly, and mindfully treat others with compassion knowing that he did the same. 

My favorite memory of Chase was when he was my football brother senior year. When I had to choose a football brother from the varsity team, it was an immediate decision that I wanted it to be Chase. He and I became good friends in Honors Chemistry with Mr. Smay the previous year, and we had many good times running experiments together. During the football season, I was always happy to cheer Chase on and speak with him after games. I was proud that he was my football brother, because he was cool and everyone liked him. I'm so grateful for my memories with Chase and for all of the positivity he spread. Rest In Peace, Chase.
