René Maheu

MAHEU, René – at Cornwall Hospice on Monday February 13, 2023 at the age of 86 years. René was a member of Old Timers Hockey. Beloved husband of the late Sheila (née Empey) Maheu. Cherished father of Beverley Maheu, Cindy Rivard (Richard) both of Cornwall and the late Paul Maheu. Loving grandfather of Jordan Maheu, Jessie Lague, Mercedes Lague, Tyson Dufresne, Ian Maheu and great grandfather of four with one on the way. Dear brother of Denise Delorme (Leo) of Cornwall. Predeceased by his parents Moise Maheu, Aldina (née Duhaime), his brother Lucien Maheu (the late Jeannette), his sister Aline Paquette (Rheal) of Cornwall and his nephew Robert Delorme. The family wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Cornwall Dialysis team and Cornwall Hospice for all their care and compassion. René will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and long time family friend Marcel Sabourin. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Spring interment, St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery.
