EMOND, Paul - At the Ottawa Heart Institute on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, Paul Eugene Emond of Cornwall; age 84 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Desneige Denise (Clément) Emond. Loved father of Pierre (Lucie Renaud) of Cornwall and Chantal Witiuk (Terry) of Mississauga. Cherished grandfather of Jacynthe and Mireille Emond and Emma Witiuk. Dear brother of Mendoza, (late Marie-Ange), Béatrice, (late Antoine Morneau), Maurice, (late Thérèse), Thérèse, (late Gérard Boucher), Gervais, (Claudette), Madeleine, (Lucien Lévesque), Jean, (Odette). Dear son of the late Joseph Emond and the late Rose-Anna (Lavoie) Emond. Predeceased by brother Gérard (late Françoise), Robert, and Alphonse (late Lucille) Emond, and one sister Rita (late André Laplante). Survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Paul was a long time member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 115 and longtime employee as a foreman and estimator for Laframboise Mechanical Electrical. The family will be in attendance at Lahaie and Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, East Branch, 614 First Street East (613-933-2841) from 9 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014. A Memorial Mass will follow in Ste Thérèse de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated by the family.

Paul will be forever remembered for his smile and his great ability to make people laugh.
