Mr. Michael David Fournier

His courageous battle with abdominal carcinoma since being diagnosed in November 2023 showed his strength and dignity in facing life challenges.

He was generous and had a kind soul and lived a life helping others. Born and raised in Cornwall, Ontario, to the late Lucien (Leslie) Fournier and the late Lillian (Tootsie) Gaines.

Married his childhood sweetheart, Lorraine and were married over 41 years.

Together they raised a wonderful daughter Melissa, who lovingly will cherish memories of his kind heart and generous nature. Will be lovingly remembered by his 2 grandchildren Ryan and Claire, Brother Allen Fournier (Rachel).

Brother-in-law to Denise Besner (Richard) and predeceased by Jacqueline Rupert (Russ)

Uncle to Kelly Fournier (Chantal), Kevin Fournier (Julie), Marc Besner (Tina), Kevin Besner (Dave) and Jodie Rupert (Matt).

Great Uncle to Élya and Trycia Fournier, Logan and Kate Fournier, Paige, Chase and Alexis Besner and Kane Rupert.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 434 Second St. Cornwall, Ontario K6J 1H1, on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 10 a.m., followed by the Interment at the Notre Dame Cemetery, Cornwall, Ontario.
