DESMARTEAUX, Maurice ~ suddenly at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Tuesday October 8, 2024 at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of 61 years to Dorothy (Gill) Desmarteaux. Dear father of Robert Desmarteaux (Sylvie G-Desmarteaux), Lisa Desmarteaux (Maria Swampy), step father of Kevin and Glenn Murray all of Cornwall, father of Donna and Wendy Desmarteaux. Proud grandfather of Timothy Murray. Cherished brother of Andree Desmarteaux. Survived by nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Roger Desmarteaux, Audrey (King) Desmarteaux, his brother Joseph Desmarteaux (Denise), his sister Marie Desmarteaux and his niece Joan Graney. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes West Branch 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482). A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
