O‘BRIEN, Carmel (St. Denis) – Surrounded by her loving family at the St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Center on Thursday June 7, 2018. She was 96. Loving wife of the late Thomas Joseph O’Brien. Cherished mother of Kathleen Gignac, Claire Roy (Robert), Ann O’Brien (Kathy) and Kevin O’Brien (Tanya). Carmel will fondly be remembered by her grandchildren, Nathan, Nicholas, Daniel, Julia and Alex. Predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Leona (Delorme) St. Denis and one sister, Huguette Payette (late Bert). Friends and family will be received at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall on Thursday from 9-10 am followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Francis de Sales Church at 10:30 am. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations (by cheque) to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by the family.
