Beloved wife of Earl Markell.
Loving mother of Dave (Donna) Markell, Lorna (Gerald) Sigouin, and Wray (Tracy) Markell. Cherished grandmother of Austin, Shelby, Gavin, Phillip, Everett, and Hope. Lois will be dearly missed by 11 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her parents James and Emily Sheets, her siblings Shirley (Stuart) Warner, Betty (Ralph) Terriah, and Bill (Vivian) Sheets, her sister in-law Gail (Iain) MacLeod, Carol (George) Otto, and her brother in-law Gordon (Henriette) Markell.
Lois will be missed by her in-laws Sheila (late Donald) McKenzie, Wendy (late Derle) Froats, Donna (late Bob) Cottrell, Larry (Janet) Markell, Cindy (Kevin) Waldroff, and Allen Markell.
Following Lois’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch (613-932-8482). Visitation will be held at the funeral home, on December 19, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. till the time of Chapel Service at 11 a.m. Inurnment at St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery will take place at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Cornwall would be greatly appreciated by the family.
