COPE, Ian – Peacefully at the Glen Stor Dun Lodge with his loving family by his side on Friday, April 21, 2017 at the age of 87. Ian Cope of Black Lake, Perth, Ontario is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Anita (Antonoff) Cope and his loving family: Judi Cohen (the late Gordon) of Montreal, David (Manuela) of Brooklin, ON, Robert (Dianne Height) of South Glengarry, ON and Jennifer Cope (Michele) of White Rock, BC. Cherished grandfather of five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Dear son of the late James Cope and the late Mabel (Caveen) Cope. Predeceased by his brother Colin Cope (the late Eleanor) and his sister Mame Hulowski (the late Steve). Ian had a wonderful life and lived every moment to its full extent. He loved all his family deeply and abidingly. He was an excellent provider and imparted his love of the great outdoors to all his family. So many road trips, summer vacations on the Cape, ski trips and sailing excursions will be remembered fondly. As kids we all delighted in his rousing rendition of “he was a bold bad man, he was a desperado, from Cripple Creek way down in Colorado”. When you get to heaven shoot out the lights Ian, shoot out the lights.
