Elizabeth Betty Amass Symes

SYMES, Elizabeth “Betty” – June 18, 1929~May 9, 2017. The heart broken children of Betty Symes (nee Amass) wish to share the news of her sudden passing. She was predeceased by her parents William and Olive and siblings William and Ivy of London, England. Left to miss her are the Symes family. Lloyd (Sandy) of West Kelowna, Kim (Jim) of Owen Sound, Paul (Meichelle) of Oakville, Scott (Sandy) of Barrie, Tina (Steven) of North Lunenburg, grandchildren Devon, Connor, Bailey, Austin, Tarah, Katie and their spouses, great grandchildren Olive and Indie and cousin Richard (Marjorie) Webster. As a longtime employee of the Bank of Montreal, a member of the Eastern Star Rebekah Lodge, resident of Beek Lindsay House and mother of five busy children, she made many friends in Cornwall and it made her very happy when you took the time to say “Hello”. The family will be in attendance at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN, CORNWALL FUNERAL HOMES, East Branch, 614 First Street East, (613-933-2841) on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 1 p.m. until the time of Service. A Celebration of life will be held Saturday June 17, 2017 in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 2 p.m. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Cornwall O.S.P.C.A. would be appreciated by the family.
