Dorothy Daye

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Eileen Daye (Fenton) on Sept. 10, 2022. Predeceased by her husband Earl Robert Daye in 2000. Dear mother of the late Wayne (Carol), Linda (late Cecil), Brian, and Ann. Proud grandmother of Andrea, Mark, Scott, Jennifer, Brent, Glenn, and Kevin. Great grandmother of 13. She was the daughter of Arthur & Georgina Fenton (deceased). Pre-deceased by her siblings Annie, Charlie, Ethel, Bill, and Desmond (all deceased). She will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy immigrated from Ireland at the age of 5 years old with her family and was extremely proud of her Irish heritage. She was a lifelong member of St. Andrews/St. Marks United Church in Long Sault and the Eastern Star #310. A heartfelt thank you to the staff of Woodland Villa and Dr. Crooke for their compassion and caring. Funeral services are entrusted to the M John Sullivan Funeral Home 341 Pitt St., Cornwall.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 19, 2022, at St Andrew / St-Mark’s Church, Long Sault, from 9:30 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at St-Lawrence Valley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society or St. Andrews/St. Marks would be appreciated.
