MONTPETIT, Bernard R. Sr. – passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at the age of 71 years. Beloved husband of 52 years to Kathleen (née Marsolais) Montpetit. Dear father of Bernard Jr. (Jennifer Kaddie) and Donald. Cherished grandfather of Raven-Adele, Cole and Tristan and step-grandfather to Madison. Proud great-grandfather of Evangeline. Brother of Claude (late Colette), Gerard (Jackie), Patrick (Diane), Pierre (Mavis) and Nicole Hammond (late Jim). Predeceased by his parents, Romeo and Rose (née Leger) Montpetit, by brother Gilles (Willie), sister Rejeanne Pyke (late Perry) and by two infant sisters. The family will be in attendance at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN CORNWALL FUNERAL HOME, WEST BRANCH, 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482) on Saturday, October 22 from 9 a.m. until time of Service. Service of Remembrance will be held in the Funeral Home Memorial Chapel at 12 p.m. Cremation. A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated by the family.
