Dear Suzanne:
Although we have never met please accept this short note of sincere profound condolence in the loss of your Barry.
I had the distinct pleasure of having Barry as my ground school instructor on my initial B-727 second officer course some short 42 years ago. Barry was a wealth of knowledge and I always enjoyed his dry sense of understated humour.
May Barry’s last flight west had fair skies with following winds and thank you for sharing Barry with us.

Alors je viens "tout bonnement " et en "toute amitié familiale" t'offir mes condoléances et l'assurance de mon humble communion de prières.
Je garde le souvenir de ton amoureux, ...pour les quelques fois qu'il m'a été donné de le rencontrer...., d'un bon gentil homme aimable, courtois et d'agréable présence. 
Sans doute que de l'autre VERSANT DE LA VIE, le Seigneur Dieu qui l'accueille dans sa Lumière et sa Bonté, lui permettra de vous offrir une "nouvelle présence"  à Toi, son épouse et à tous ceux et celles qui lui ont été proches et chers.

I had Barry numerous times as an instructor during my many courses with Air Canada.  Barry was a very good teacher and was always well informed and displayed a fun sense of humour.  He will be missed by we pilots who were trained by him. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

When I joined Air Canada in January 1975, after ground school course, I was given the B-727 airplane course with Barry  Fletcher in Montreal.
He was so competent and well spoken that I could understand everything he said. 
Thank you Barry for making our lives easy during intensive learning process.

Lovely to see.. even after his illness, when I visited him he was most pleasant and not sorry for himself...

I was sorry to hear of Barry's death Suzanne and only hope that the good memories of your life together will help you through this loss.
I worked with Barry extensively on the  B-727 introduction into the Air Canada fleet. His dedication and enthusiasm made that transition an enjoyable experience for the multitudes he instructed.

Gentlemen (def:)  A chivalrous, courteous and honourable man. Barry exemplified all these mannerisms in his very sole. 

I was fortunate to be able to work along side this true gentlemen for many years and will fondly remember our times together.

Cheryl and I were surprised and sorry to hear of Barry's passing. We remember chatting with you both at the Air Canada Aero Breakfast get-togethers and remember him fondly. He will be missed.
Our heartfelt condolences to you and yours at this sad time.

Barry was one of the instructors during my initial "new hire" course at Air Canada. Several years later he was my supervisor during my stint as a ground school instructor for these same 'new hire' courses. He was always a consummate professional, well-deserving of the title "Instructor" in the highest sense of that word. It was a privilege and great pleasure to work with him.

Barry was one of the finest gentleman I have ever worked with. Most memorable was the battles we shared together introducing the Airbus A320/340/330 to not only the Air Canada pilots but transport Canada.

Without his thoroughness and dedication this would have been a lot harder.

A good colleague will be missed and I and Colleen are so sorry for your loss
