Wanda Childers

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Wanda Ann Childers, 79, is set for 11:00 am Friday, April 1, 2022 at McPeter’s Funeral Directors Inc. chapel with Bro. Warren Jones officiating.

Wanda passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS. She was born December 26, 1942 to the late Beacher and Lurlie Lancaster. Wanda was a graduate of Alcorn Central High School. Wanda had a great admiration for flowers and gardening, but above all enjoyed the many hours spent feeding and watching hummingbirds.

Mrs. Childers was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Dewey Childers; her parents; a son, Mr. Wade Childers; a brother, Mr. Darvin Lancaster; and a sister, Ms. Sarah Lewis.

She is survived by a son, Mr. Anthony Childers; a brother, Mr. Honnel Lancaster (Patricia); two sisters, Mrs. Janice Chambers (James) and Mrs. Betty Brock (Mike); and one granddaughter; Mrs. Jessica Duncan (Chris).
