A Celebration of Life Service for Capt. Tommy Inman, 77, is set for 1:00 pm Monday at Memorial Funeral Home with Rusty Johnson officiating. Ben and Arlene Gann will do the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Henry Cemetery with Police Honors. A family and friends gathering will be Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and Monday from 11:00 am to service time.
Tommy died December 10, 2024, at his residence. He was born December 26, 1946, in Corinth to the late Thomas Alford and Lessie Coleman Inman. He went to Corinth High School, Northeast Community College and to MS Law Enforcement Academy. Tommy started his career with the Corinth Police Dept. on February 1, 1970. He was a patrol officer, Lieutenant and made Captain in a year and a half. He worked for 36 years with a total of over 40 years on the Police Dept, retiring on July 1, 2010. He was a member of the Pentecostal faith; he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Tommy was preceded in death by a son, William Matthew, and his parents.
He is survived by his daughter, Beth Rooker (Ross); grandchildren, Caroline Rooker, Colten (Avery), Cyndal (Rylee), Channing (Darbie) and Chase Rooker; mother of his children, Aneysa Bragg Inman; great grandchildren, Kye and Wiley; and a special friend, Teresa Roberts.
Pallbearers are Chief Landon Tucker, Capt. Ben Moore, Ben Gann, Mark Luker, Rusty Johnson, Larry Fuqua, and Chuck Hinds. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons and the Corinth Police Dept.
