Celebration of Life service for Robert H. Rodgers, Sr., 84, is set for 12:30 pm Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Lovett officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Gardens. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 and Wednesday 11:00 pm service time.
Robert died November 26, 2021 at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, AL. He was born April 4, 1937 to the late R G and Ruby Rodgers. He was a long time member at First Assembly of God Church. Robert was a graduate of Farmington High School. He was service manager for V. M. Box, before going to work at ITT for 27 years, where he was a supervisor until retiring. After retiring he was in sales at T and R Outdoors and sold used cars. Robert was an avid drag racer for many years throughout the area, having won many races and awards.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his precious sister, Doris Cummings.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Martha Richards Rodgers; son, Robert H. “Bobby” Rodgers, Jr.; and a host of special friends.
Pallbearers will be Remington Rodgers Deputy Mike Shipman Brian Langley of Langley Wealth Management, Wayne Parker, President of Commerce Bank, Hull Davis, and Dr. Greg Hale.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Lane Armstrong, Former Mayor of Corinth, Jerry Latch, Lane Voyles, Lonnie Richards, and Billy Prather, Former Alcorn Co. Sheriff, Jimmy Taylor.
