Katie Ross

Funeral services for Katie V. Ross, 91, are set for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Warren Jones and Bro. Mark McCoy officiating. Burial will be in the Wheeler Grove Cemetery.

Ms. Ross died on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born on Friday, August 15, 1919 to the late Henry and Sallie Bonds Switcher. During her life she worked for Weavers Pants Factory, was a member of the Wheeler Grove Baptist Church, and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Toby Ross; her son, Ray Van Ross; her two brothers, Clarence and J.R. Switcher; and one sister, Beatrice Overton.

She is survived by her two grandsons, Mike Ross and his wife Shelia of Booneville, MS and Bryan Ross of Gatlinburg, TN; one sister, Mae Taylor and husband Frank of Franklin, TN; two step-grandchildren, Andrew and Paige Mask; Ray Van's companion Anne Carroll of Corinth; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 11th from 5:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. and from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.
