I am so PROUD to say that Jimmy was my daddy. I miss him more and more each day that passes. He was a man of God and I am so thankful that I was lucky enough to have called him daddy for the time he was here on earth and one day it is going to be such a wonderful reunion to be in his arms again. When he got saved he was a whole new man, a great man, that I looked up to and respected. He loved the Lord with all his heart and would tell anyone that would give him a minute. He loved his grandchildren so much, he had given each one of them nicknames. It was so funny to hear him call their names. He loved his wife and kids! He would always laugh at me when he would see me getting on to mine (because half the time they would not listen to me). He would give me that half grin that he had and say "Boy you sure are telling them, Huh". "They are really listening to you." One of the things that sticks out the most about daddy is after he had been sick and could'nt get all his words out right (the way he wanted them to come out) he would still get up in front of the Church and tell everyone about Jesus and what He had done for him. I love you daddy more than words can say and until we meet again, I will hold on tight to all the good times I had with you!  Love your daughter, Jenny

Jimmy is with Jesus now!!!  Hallelujah!!!  Although he will be greatly missed here on earth by his loved ones left behind, we can rejoice in the promise that we fellow Christians will see Jimmy again one day when we get to Heaven and and join Jimmy in spending eternity praising Jesus!!!!  Prayers are with Debbie and the family for God to give them comfort and peace during this time of grief.

Even though I know without a shadow of a doubt that I will see him again, he is still going to be missed, and the coming days are going to be difficult for the family and friends.  He has left us here to continue the fight.  He is enjoying his rewards now.  "For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." (2 Timothy 4:6-8)

In the years we worked together to the times I admitted him to the hospital, Jimmy was always the same.  Always smiling.  Debbie Jo, you are in our prayers.

Was told by several classmates of Jimmy's passing. Not having had any contact since the night of graduation, I never knew Jimmy the man. I do know that even at our young ages one thing was clear way back then, he loved his family and he loved you, Debby. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Praying for God to sustain you as you work through your grief and moving on through life here until you join together again. God Bless you all.

I can still see you walking into the gym on Friday pep rally's in your football jersey all pumped up for that nights game. And I can remember having classes with you and you kept us laughing and making school days so much fun. It saddens me to know your no longer here with us but envy you for being where there's no sadness or pain. Rest my sweet friend. Enjoy your wings for you earned them and knowing you will be looking out for us brings a tear to my eye. You will always be a great friend and a special part of the ACHS class of 1974

I am saddened by Jimmy's passing as are a host of others...my love & prayers continue now & in the days to come for all who feel the loss, but most of all for Debby Joe, the children & grandchildren who anyone knowing Jimmy knew how much his family meant to him.  I'd have to say, he was a wonderful Paw-Paw.  Until we meet again my friend...I'd like to add one of Jimmy's thoughts..."God has got this"...granny/gloria/gg

Jimmy was a wonderful man and always treated me like a daughter. I l loved him dearly. He will be greatly missed by many. Prayers for Debby and the whole family.
