James Billy Crowe

Mr. Crowe died on Thursday April 28, 2016 at Cornerstone Health and Rehab in Corinth. He was born October 28, 1923 in Prentiss Co. MS. To the late Clyde and Dessie Crowe. He was a longtime member of Rienzi Baptist Church, served in the US Army during WWII as an MP. Former owner of Crowe’s Grocery and Clothing in Rienzi and a member of the Lions Club.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in by wife Mary Katherine Crowe; one son, Tim Crowe; a daughter-in-law, Linda Crowe; a grandson, Kevin Crowe; and sisters Maxine Crowe, Junior Crowe Hendrix; brother Jack Crowe.

Survivors include his one daughter, Joyce Plunk and husband Gene; a son, Larry Crowe; daughter-in-law Jennifer Crowe; three grandchildren, Michael Johnson and wife Mary Ann, Terry Plunk and Michelle Miles and husband Eric all of Rienzi; five great-grandchildren, Casey Flatt, McCay Johnson, Micah Johnson, Madison Miles and Maddie Grace Miles; brothers Bruce Crowe, Howard Crowe, Gene Crowe, Merrill Crowe and several nieces, nephews, his church family and friends.

Men of Rienzi Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.
