Dorothy Nichols

Visitation will be Tuesday from 12 noon until the 2pm service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nichols died on December 28, 2019 at Magnolia Regional Hospital. She was born on March 24, 1930 to the late Cubie and Nelia Lipford Inman. She married the love of her life, Hershell Nichols in 1947. The two were married for almost 50 years until his passing in 1993. Ms. Dorothy was a telephone switch operator who retired with 33 years of service from South Central Bell. She enjoyed gardening, and she loved sharing her vegetables with her family, neighbors and friends. She was also wonderfully talented in the kitchen and especially loved cooking for her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Crow (John Lee), Angela McDowell, and Penny Nichols all of Corinth; grandchildren, Ashley Smith (Dusty), Amber Morelock, Candler McDowell, Lakin McDowell, and Casey Crow; great-grandchildren, Lakin Hodum, Hallie Kate Smith, Gage Crow, Westin Crow, Ryder Morelock, Cade McDowell, Griffin Morelock, and Rowan Morelock; brothers, Loyce Inman and Larry Inman (Jan); special friend and caregiver, Bernice Stafford; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hershell Nichols; brothers, Lloyd, Thomas, J.D., Jerry and Robert Inman and a sister, Marie Shelton.

Pallbearers will be: Steve Inman, Matt Inman, Nick Inman, Kevin Inman, Dusty Smith and Albert Clayton.
