Luis E. Fula passed away on March 28, 2023, his 68th birthday, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Luis was born and raised in Panama City, Panama. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, he made his home in California, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and, for the last 27 years, in South Florida. Luis spent 48 years in the aviation industry, including a 36-year career with American Airlines. Luis is survived by his beloved ex-wife and best friend, Cindy Fula of Tamarac, daughters Kristina Kane and her husband Nathan of Brooklyn, NY, and Kimberly Fula of Frederick, MD. He is also survived by his sister Milsa Fula of Panama City, Panama, and his brother-in-law Ismael Rivera of San Juan, Puerto Rico, two beautiful grandchildren, Ethan and Bria, and many other family and friends. Luis was predeceased by his parents, Carlos Fula and Maria Emma Rodriguez, his sister Enid Rivera, and his brother Carlos Fula. We will all miss how he made his family laugh and his kindness to anyone who needed a hand.
There will be visitation on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, at the Kraeer Funeral Home at 1655 N. University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33071, with a short ceremony to begin at 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to your favorite charity.
