David Marc Scherr

David is survived by his mother, Leatrice Levin Scherr Orlando, Florida; wife Sarah Scherr Coral Springs, Florida; children, Derik Mac Scherr (Brittany) Coral Springs, Florida and Ryley Carl Scherr (Jaclyn) Tamarac, Florida; sisters, Deborah Scherr (Lola), Oviedo, Florida, Sandra Scherr, Aurora, Colorado; brother Michael Scherr (Sheryl), Orlando, Florida; his granddaughter Denise Makenzie Scherr; nephews Corey Scherr and Daniel Scherr (Victoria); great nephew Jordan; great nieces, Alyssa, Zoe and Amyrah. He is preceded in death by His father Daniel Nilo Scherr.

David Marc Scherr was born on February 2, 1957 in Orlando, Florida to Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Scherr. He graduated from Colonial High School in 1975. David worked in sales in Orlando, Florida before moving to Coral Sprigs in 1991. David was very active in the Coral Springs Flag Football League as a coach and a board member. He was also an active Band Parent while Derik and Ryley attended JP Taravella High School. David was a sports lover and was the ultimate University of Florida Fan. He was a wonderful father, husband and friend to many. He was able to meet his first grandchild in September of 2019. Makenzie was his pride and joy.

A memorial is scheduled for Saturday, December 19th at Kraeer Funeral Home 1655 N University Drive, Coral Springs, Florida from 10am to 1pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate David’s life with Covid protocol in place and facial coverings will be required.
