Carol Ann Murray (née Murphy), 84, most beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully March 21, 2022 in Tamarac, Florida. She is survived by her loving family: daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Gary Prunty; daughters, Elana Murray and Allyson Murray; granddaughter, Christina Ramondino and husband Peter Ramondino; great-grandchildren, Ariana, Leah and Nicolas Ramondino; and grandson Gary Prunty, Jr.
Carol Ann was born on December 29, 1937 in New York City, NY. She grew up in Bayside, attended Sacred Heart, and later graduated from Oyster Bay High School. Carol was the eldest of seven siblings. She is survived by Frances Record, Judith Krug, Bradford Dayton, Craig Dayton, Brian Murphy and John Murphy. She is also survived by her husband’s brother, Thomas Murray. Carol Ann began her career at The Equitable where she met her husband of 41 years, John “Jack” Murray. Carol Ann lovingly raised her family, and retired from a successful career as an Assistant Vice President in banking. Her family and friends will remember her warm heart, generous spirit, and cheerfulness. Her daughters will remember their loving mother best for her famous gravy, love of holiday gatherings and motto “never leave the house without your lipstick”.
