Rita Mae Chaffee

Rita was born October 6th, 1957 at Fort Hood Texas, she was the daughter of Raymond and Betty Farr.

Rita was a nurse for over 40 years, was in the first class of the Temple Junior College in Nursing as an LVN. She medically retired as a nurse from the Bell County Correction Facility.

Throughout her life, Rita took care of others, her family and pets; her favorite past time when not working was riding a motorcycle, crocheting, reading and foremost, time with her family and going to church.

Rita married her husband, Ira Chaffee on October 17, 1998 in Killeen Texas.

Rita is survived by her husband of 19 years, Ira Chaffee;

2 daughters Jean Besler and husband, and Charlotte Hawkins-Cyr

2 step sons Jerry and Jeremy Chaffee

6 grandchildren: Hunter Hawkins, Wesly Hickman, Trinity Hickman, Gavin Cyr, Logan Cyr, and Charles Esplana

And 6 siblings: Stanley Pinkerton and family, Sandra Pinkerton and family, Clifford Pinkerton and family,

Clarence Pinkerton and family, Jeannie Swan and family, and Wesley Farr and Family.

A memorial service is scheduled for 6 PM Oct. 19 at Crawford-Bowers, Copperas Cove.
