Anita Louise Fritz Stewart

Funeral services for Anita Louise Stewart, 75, of Whitney, formerly of Copperas Cove will be 10 am. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church in Copperas Cove. Rev. Stephen Schmidt will officiate. Burial will follow in the Copperas Cove City Cemetery.

Mrs. Stewart passed away Thursday, Jan. 24th in Whitney.

Anita Louise was born July 22, 1937 in Corpus Christi to Arthur Dewald and Jimmie (Jacob) Fritz. She married Francis B. Stewart on January 13, 1956 in Ingleside, TX. Armed only with a high school education, she worked from a bookkeeping clerk to the Vice President of the Citizen's State Bank of Lometa. She was a member of the King Memorial United Methodist Church of Whitney.

Anita was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 16, 2003 and her son, Josh Stewart in 2011.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Michael Kerzee of Whitney; five grandchildren, Lauren, Zacary, Benjamin, Shayna-Mindel, and Francesca.

Memorials may be made in her honor to the King Memorial United Methodist Church of Whitney or to Grace United Methodist Church of Copperas Cove.
