Larry Keith Inman, 63, of Coppell, Texas passed away peacefully on June 28, 2024 after a long battle with kidney cancer. He was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico, on May 19, 1961, to Woodson Lee and Velma (Rogers) Inman.
Larry graduated from Carlsbad High School and went on to play football for Baylor University from 1979-1982, where he was part of the 1980 Southwest Conference Champion football team. He graduated from Baylor University in 1983 from the Hankamer School of Business with a degree in finance and accounting.
Larry married Deanna (Zabojnik) Inman on November 21, 1987, and together they have two children: daughter MacKenzie Inman, and son Trevor Inman and wife Christy. He is also survived by his sisters Marilyn (Inman) Moore and husband Jerry, and Ginger (Inman) Jordan and husband Johnny; brother Gary Inman and wife Karla, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.
Throughout his life, Larry had a distinguished career in banking and finance, and ultimately retired in July 2023 as a Senior Vice President at Frost Bank in Coppell. Larry had an undeniable love for being part of the community, always eager to lend a helping hand and connect with those around him. Known as a people person, he had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel valued and heard. His warm, friendly demeanor and genuine interest in others made him a beloved figure in every circle he joined. Larry's passion for building relationships and fostering a sense of togetherness was evident in every aspect of his life, including a kidney cancer grief circle that he facilitated.
Larger than life, Larry was a gentle giant and a warrior who battled his disease with grace and dignity. Extremely humbled by his experiences, he never complained and went through several clinical trials to benefit others. He bravely volunteered for these grueling trials, hoping that his involvement would contribute to advancements in medical research and treatments. Larry's courage and determination to make a difference, even in the face of his own adversity, were truly inspiring. In his final act of generosity, Larry donated his eyes, giving the gift of sight to others.
He loved his family more than anything. His wife, Dee, has been his rock and a warrior right beside him that provided unwavering love, support, and strength throughout their journey together. With his daughter MacKenzie, he shared a special bond filled with sarcasm, comedy, and finding meaning in the lyrics of songs. They often exchanged witty remarks and found joy in their shared love of music. Larry also devoted countless hours officiating MacKenzie's swim meets, eagerly watching with pride as she glided through the water with grace, particularly in her signature butterfly stroke. With his son Trevor, Larry's connection was rooted in their mutual passion for sports - especially baseball. At an early age, they spent many hours at the batting cages and on a pitching mound. They cherished their time together at Ranger games, creating unforgettable memories at the ballpark. At home, they would text each other every second of any sporting game, sharing their excitement and analysis. But the real battle began when a Sooner entered the family, as Christy and Larry went to war over Baylor vs. OU football games. Despite the rivalry, he adored his sweet additional daughter. Moreover, Larry looked forward to the yearly guy trips he went on with his core group of friends.
