Jay Henry Theder of Coppell, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the age of 83. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, and uncle to those he has left behind.
Jay was born in Owatonna, Minnesota to father Henry A. and mother Nellie (Dring) Theder on July 13, 1937. He was the youngest of three children. Jay graduated from Medford High School in Medford, Minnesota and attended college at St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota. He entered the United States Air Force in January 1958. After pilot training, Jay flew F-86’s & B-52’s. He was released from active duty in May 1964.
In 1965, Jay began his professional career with American Airlines. He was employed by American Airlines for 32 years, retiring at the age of 60 in 1997.
Jay married Anne Sudinsky on February 26, 1987. They shared 33 years of marriage making a home together in Coppell, Texas.
Jay was preceded in death by his parents, by his sisters Joan Amato and Bonnie Kern, by their husbands John Amato III and Donald Kern, and by his niece Susan Kern.
He is survived by his wife Anne Theder, his daughters Denise Stark and Colette Everhard, six nephews, one niece, and seven grandchildren.
