Mr. Rakowski was born in Wilamowo, Poland on February 13, 1936 to his parents, the late Czeslaw and Janina Rakowski. He married his bride, the former Marianna Piatkowski. He was retired from a long career with Keyspan in Hicksville.
Mr. Rakowski is survived by his beloved wife, Marianna; and his children - Zofia (Bennie) Spampinato, Lucyna (Raymond) Kiernan and Robert Stefan (Keri) Rakowski. Also surviving are his grandchildren - Joanna (Jeremy), Thomas (Jennifer), Michele (Paul), Jennifer (Alex), Matthew, Dariusz and Dylan; his great-grandchildren - Mikayla, Colette, Thomas, Jack and Nikolas; and his sister, Lucyna.
Mr. Rakowski will be interred at St. Charles Cemetery on Saturday, April 25th. Due to the limitations of the current pandemic, all services at this time are private.
