Richard (Dick) Dickerson, 90, of Beverly Hills, Florida passed away peacefully on March 26, 2023 at his home. Born to Jack and Lucie Dickerson on February 15, 1933 in New York. Dick worked in Publications at Grumman Aerospace Corporation for 30 years and lived in Port Jefferson Station, NY before relocating to Beverly Hills, Florida in 1995. He is a United States Navy Veteran, serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
His parents, son, Robert, and wife, Louise, predeceased him. He is survived by his son, Richard, of Winnetka, CA, his daughter and son-in-law, Tracey and Arthur, and two grandsons, Jack and Jake, formally of Shoreham NY and currently living in Millsboro, Delaware. In addition, he leaves behind his sister, Mary Ann St. Aubin, and two sisters in laws, Mary Chadwick and Catherine (Katie) Chadwick, along with nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 20,2023 from 10am-11am at the D’Andrea Bros. Funeral Home in Copiague, NY, immediately followed by a funeral service at the Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation in Richard’s name be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
