James F. Gill

Mr. Gill was a native of Brooklyn, born and raised there. He found his life’s work in the air freight industry, having owned a number of his own companies; most recently, Trio Air in Inwood. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He met his future bride, the former Joan Herb; married, and made their first home in Woodhaven.

In his personal time, he was an avid golfer. He is remembered by his family as being a loving father.

Surviving is his wife, Joan; and his children – his son, Darren and daughter-in-law, Jane; his daughter, Susan; his son, Terence; and his son, Dean and daughter-in-law, Christine. Also surviving are two sisters, Katherine and Eileen.

Family and friends will gather in remembrance at a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, December 21st at the funeral home from 2-4:30 p.m. Cremation was private.
