Paul W Swanson

Swanson, Paul Winge age 58, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 in Coon Rapids, MN, one day after his companion of ten years, and sister, Robin Rucker passed away. Paul was born March 3, 1964 in Sacramento, California to Neil and Marlene (Winge) Swanson. Paul married Holly (Chesser) in 1984 while in the US Air Force Security Forces stationed at Lackland AFB San Antonio, TX. After leaving the AF Paul worked in his father's business in Salinas, California until his father and mother retired. Paul (now divorced) later followed his father and mother to their hometown of Minneapolis, MN where he resided until the time of his passing. While in Minnesota Paul worked as the night manager of the Minneapolis Club. In Minnesota Paul was surrounded by many relatives from Uncle Stub and Aunt Diane, cousins, and now children of cousins, that made for many happy times at family gatherings. Paul was gregarious, had a great sense of humor, family was core to Paul's life, he enjoyed worldwide travel, and was a friend to many. Paul was also Bipolar and struggled with mental health challenges to his last day. Paul was preceded in death by his parents. Paul is survived by his loving Brother Neil Jr, Sister Sheila, and an extended Minnesota family.

A Celebration of Paul's Life will be held on November 25, 2022 between 4PM and 8PM at 945 106th Lane NW, Unit #73, Coon Rapids, MN 55433. All family and friends are invited to attend.

Robin Rae Rucker has sadly passed away on July 27, 2022, one day after her 67th birthday, in her Coon Rapids home after long-term health struggles. She was truly a selfless person with a heart of gold. She had two daughters, but was a mother to so many more. Preceded in death by her parents, Neil and Marlene (Winge) Swanson, she is survived by her two daughters, Laura Nalan and Wendy Rucker; five grandchildren: Conner, Layla, Sky, Leland, and Scarlett; sons-in-law Karl and Dave; her brother Neil Swanson Jr; and too many cousins to mention them all. She will be dearly missed.
