Louise Ida Little

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, George and June (Julien) Simonson; brother, Russell, and sister-in-law, Ruth (Nelson); sister, Julie (Delaruelle); husband, Paul John Little; and her significant other, Jerry Bestland. She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne, and son-in-law, Aristides Gogoussis of Thessaloniki, Greece; grandsons Vlasis, Paul, and Anastasis Gogoussis; brother-in-law, Neal Delaruelle and nephew, Christopher; sister-in-law, Susan Little and niece, Genevera Wells.

Born in Grantsburg, WI on May 3, 1939, Louise went on to graduate valedictorian of her class in 1957. In 1961 she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education with a major in English and a minor in Music from St. Cloud State University and immediately embarked on a career that spanned 35 years, most of which was spent at Roosevelt and Northdale Middle Schools in the Anoka-Hennepin School District #11. In 1973 she received a Masters in Psychology from her alma mater after which she left her English classroom to become a school guidance counselor. Louise had a kind, loving heart and a generous nature which led her to want to help others, at times even at cost to herself.

She was a voracious reader and an avid knitter and she loved to sing and often performed and toured with church choirs. She also enjoyed attending concerts and touring museums of every kind. Being inherently curious and adventurous, Louise also liked to learn about different peoples and cultures and as a result she travelled extensively throughout most of the USA and Europe over the course of her life. Louise was loved and admired by everyone who had the honor to know her and she will be greatly

missed by all of us.

Louise will be honored in a private ceremony with her closest family in August, most likely in

London, England or Thessaloniki, Greece. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time in

Minnesota when it is completely safe to do so.
