Passed away October 6, 2022 surrounded by family, at Glenfields Living With Care in Glencoe, MN.
When he was 2 years old, he was adopted by his biological great-aunt & uncle, Jemimah Isabelle & Wellington “Duke” Adair. During his childhood, they moved several times between Canada & the United States. He joined the US Army, where he was able to become a naturalized US citizen. He spent his years of service in Japan, where he learned the trade of printing. He was also the Army newspaper cartoonist. After returning to the US, he met & married Virginia Curtis. They were married for 58 years & they had 2 daughters, Amy & Jane. Later in life, he was able to connect with his biological family in Canada, including 3 half-siblings, Jim, Donna & Elaine. He took several trips to Canada to visit them. Jack worked several job including printing & type-setting & later in life he was a security guard.
He had many interests & hobbies, including cartooning & wood-carving, but his passion was for music, specifically playing guitar. He wrote numerous original songs that will be remembered by many.
Jack will be remembered for his humor, & making everyone smile & laugh.
Preceded in death by his Wife, Virginia; Siblings Jim, Donna and Elaine.
Survived by Daughters, Amy (Ted), Jane (Greg); Grandchildren, Chase (Ariel), Emily (Daniel), Ethan (Laura), Elana (Mark) and Ember; Great-Grandchildren, Fiona, Cove, Silas and Crew.
There will be a private family burial Monday, October 10, 2022 with interment in Morningside Gardens in Coon Rapids.
