Preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette; children, Darrell Svitak, and Diane Svitak.
Survived by his sons, Brett (Jennifer) Fredrickson, Dean (Sandy) Svitak; grandchildren, DJ (Treasa), Tina, Asher, Madelyn; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Kylie, Brook, Brandon; also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Dennis retired from his position as State Auditor following a 25 year career. Dennis was an avid sports fan, especially for the MN Golden Gophers in which he was a season ticket holder for countless years and enjoyed following his son and grandchildren’s sporting events and dance recitals. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and trips to the casino. Dennis was a member of Faith Lutheran Church where he served as an usher until his health did not allow him to do so. Above all, Dennis’ children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family were the most important part of his life and he enjoyed and cherished the time spent with them.
Memorial Service will be 11:00 am Friday, Sep. 15, 2023 at Faith Lutheran Church

Visitation 10:00 am until time of service.
