Mark DeWayne Tinney, age 49, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, February 16, 2019 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock after battling a serious disease to his liver. He was born on November 25, 1969 in Lubbock Texas to the proud parents of Bennie Ray and Sandra Mae Tinney. He was a 1988 graduate of Altus High School in Altus, Oklahoma and attended Western Oklahoma State College for two years in the same town.
Mark spent much of his adult life in the field of retail management that included stops at Wal-Mart, Toys R’ Us, Office Depot and Staples spanning almost three decades where he built endless friendships, some of which lasted his lifetime. He will be remembered most by his outward personality and endearing heart which was left open for everyone. Mark enjoyed fishing, cooking and reading, with the later highlighted by his love of Stephen King novels, always topping a wide range of authors. He also passionately loved sports and movies, but nothing meant more to him than his friends and family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lory Lea Tinney from Bella Vista, his amazing son Benjamin Keith from Altus and stepchildren Darryan Lynn Lea and Bryson Michael Carl Fino, also from Bella Vista; whom he cherished as if they were his own. He is also survived by the angel of his life; his mother Sandie, brothers Mickey Ray and Brian Keith, his nephew Austin Michael and niece Breanna Dawn, all from Conway.
Preceding his death, Mark will be joined again by his father Bennie, his niece Emma Marie and Aunt Louellen Lawson.
Services will be held at Griffin Leggett Conway on Friday February 22, 2019 starting at 2pm.
