Jim Mode Presley, age 86, passed away November 21, 2015 at his home in Conway. He was born to the late Martin E. and Mary Mode Presley. Jim was also preceded in death by one brother, Dewitt Presley and one sister, Gazelle Mode.
After graduating from Guy High School, Jim served 4 years in the army with 2 tours in Korea during the Korean War. He worked as a journeyman lineman traveling the U.S. building high voltage power lines. He also worked as a lineman for North Little Rock Electric and later started building houses where he established a successful business before retiring.
His hobbies included spending time with grandkids and building wooden trains and planes.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Pollyanna Glover Presley, Son, Randy Presley Sr. and wife Sherry, daughters, Vickie (Victoria) Grissom and husband Poo and Melody Grissom and husband Darrel all of Conway, brother, Martin Presley, 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside services with military honors will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 25, at Copperas Springs Cemetery in Guy, Arkansas with Bro. VonDell Mooney officiating.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, (his three ducks) Alan Presley Jr., Micky Grissom, Richard Presley, Chris Grissom, Joey Stiefvater and Tommy Pratt.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eldon Grissom, Clayton Presley, Sawyer Grissom, Raiden Grissom and Kaysen Dortch.
