Wallace James “Jay” Oliver 68 of Montgomery, Texas passed away at his home in Montgomery Febrauary 16, 2012. Jay was born March 13, 1943 in Seattle, Washington to James and Leona Bergthold Oliver. Bill Carver was who he considered his dad. Jay left San Antonio, Texas to become a resident of Montgomery in 1983.
Memorial Services celebrating Jay’s life will be held at 2:00pm Sunday February 26, 2012 at his Living Way United Methodist Church, 17555 Hwy 242 in Conroe with Rev. Bill Posey officiating (www.livingwayums.org).
Jay is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of over 32 years, Peggy and his daughter, Lynn Schneider.
Survivors include, daughter: Jaylin Jenkins; sons: Wesley, William and Wayland Oliver, Ronald and Jerry Schneider; 24 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and 3 dogs: Ben, Buddy, and Rusty and numerous other relatives and friends.
Jay was best known for his passion for fishing. His generosity to his church and children’s charities. He was a hard worker and very talented Electrician, Machinist and Mechanic by trade.
