Vincent "Vince" Michael Schoenecker

Vincent Michael Schoenecker, 93, of Conroe passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023. He was born to Barthel and Angela Schoenecker on April 18, 1930 in Tintah, Minnesota. He met his true love, Barbara Johnson, and married her February 11, 1952, while in Army training in El Paso.

Vince grew up in Kansas after moving from Minnesota after his father’s passing. He enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 20. His service in the Army helped navigate his career in electronics. He was very proud of his involvement with the space program with NASA from Gemini at Michoud Assembly Facility in Louisiana testing rocket engines to the Apollo program at Johnson Space Center training for moon landing.

He was a kind and gentle man, devoted to the strong faith he turned to in his 20’s. He was devoted to Bible study until his passing. He served his church wherever he went, as a Bible study leader or teacher and an ordained deacon.

He loved learning and was interested in everything. Vince was adventurous; he and Barbara loved camping, boating, fishing, and traveling together. He enjoyed restoring cars and motorcycles and in his later years, wood carving.

Vince is survived by his daughter Carol Homan (Dave), son Randy Schoenecker (Beverly), grandchildren Melody Haryanto (John), Carl Vincent Homan, Kelly Homan, Ben Schoenecker (Kendall), Daniel Schoenecker (Hilary), Taylor Schoenecker (Daryna), Kim Beasley (Emerson), and Lacey Hyman, great grandchildren Grace and Grant Haryanto, Ella Schoenecker, Austin Vincent Schoenecker, Emily Beasley, Olivia Hyman and Thomas Jayce Pak, sisters Irene and Leona (Nonie). He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Barbara, his parents, sisters Helen, Marcella, Alvera, Marie, Margie and brothers Ed, Bart, and Elmer.
