Richard Vestal Whitten, 70, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012. He was born on December 19, 1941 in Houston, Texas to Wymoth Deshan and Venus Valentine Whitten. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 48yrs. Lynda; son Richard Wayne Whitten and wife Angelina; brothers Ray Whitten and wife Dolores and Harry Whitten; sister Joyce Eswman and husband Ronnie; grandchildren Amber Whitten, Gabriel Eastman and Kolby Whitten and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. under the direction of Pastor Curtis Hallford in the Cashner Colonial Chapel.
