She was preceded in death by her partner, Deanna Lynn Riepe. She is survived by her sister, Christine Stansbury of Topeka, Kansas.
Mary will be remembered for her love of dogs, travel, teaching, reading, sports, camping, and especially of spending fun times with family and friends. After high school, Mary joined the Order of Sisters of Charity in Leavenworth, Kansas to which she gave many years of service. During which time she received her master’s degree from Dayton, Ohio in Administrative Science.
After leaving the order, she moved to Texas, working in the Houston and Waxahachie area where she retired from St. Joseph Catholic School after 11 years of service.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00p.m. October 23rd at Metcalf Funeral Home located at 1801 East White Oak Terrace, Conroe TX 77304, with a reception to follow at B52 Brewing Co. located at 12470 Milroy Lane, Conroe, TX 77304 from 5:00p.m.-9:00p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dementia Society of America, or the Montgomery County Animal Shelter.
