Mary Janetta Rice

Mary enjoyed fishing, boating, playing golf, sewing, flower arranging, traveling, and bowling. She was a member of the Texas Chiropractic Women’s Auxiliary for many years. She had a heart the size of Texas and loved to feed everyone with her amazing cooking. Her greatest love, and life’s work, was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Glenn W. Rice, daughter Terri L. Rice, and both of her parents. Mary is survived by her daughter Gina Rice Hughes, grandchildren, Dr. Jerod B. Patchin and Brenna L. Sanchez, great grandchildren Joshua, Nicolai, Elijah, and Ezekiel, sisters Linda Wisenbaker, Martha E. Wooten, and Pamela K. Brooks, brothers Ivan Lebert Johnson, Jr., and Larry D. Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Generations Church in Spring on Thursday, December 16th at 12:00 p.m. with visitation to begin at 10:00 a.m. Graveside services will be in Ivy Cemetery in Kenard at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation to Grace Global Outreach through Generations Church.
