Mary Frances Burell Johnson

Mrs. Johnson was born in George West, Texas, on July 30, 1936. She married George Allen Johnson on June 23, 1952, in California while he was serving in the U.S. Navy. A descendant of both American Revolutionary War veterans and Texas Rangers, Mrs. Johnson was a proud American and proud Texan. Her family and her Christian faith were of utmost importance. In addition to her four children, Kathy, George, Jr., Archie, and Martin, she welcomed her two nieces, Patricia and Nancy, into her home.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, George; son, Martin Hulan Johnson; and sister Josephine Johnson. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Burell Stelter; daughter, Kathy (Paul) Gray; son, George Johnson, Jr.; and son, Archie (Carol) Johnson; daughter-in-law, Mary Johnson; honorary daughters Patricia Clifton and Nancy Beavers; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service and interment for Mary will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Little River-Wilson Valley Cemetery, Temple, Texas.
